Multi-Agent Orchestration Now Works in Production
Cursor's Projects beta lets one coordinator agent dispatch parallel coding agents across features, migrations, and scheduled tasks. Early users report merging six times more PRs. NVIDIA's OSMO is now open source under Apache 2.0. It routes physical AI pipelines across GPU training clusters, RTX simulation nodes, and Jetson edge devices from one YAML file. AWS's Pizza Bot is an open-source agent inbox with approval gates and support for multiple LLM providers. It was previously used by over 2,000 Amazon employees.
The model capability needed to make multi-agent coordination reliable is now in place. Fable 5.1 and GPT-6 Astra reliably handle the edge cases that used to break long-horizon tasks. Patterns like agents spawning sub-agents, blind black-box testing, and cross-codebase verification now work in real production. The Navier-Stokes proof, run by 10,000 agents using roughly 300 billion output tokens, shows the scale this enables. ARC-AGI benchmark costs for comparable scores dropped from about $500,000 with o3 to about $20 with Astra.
